If your business provides us with third-party contact data (e.g. your customers), you must ensure that you have their consent to share this information for the purpose of sending review or feedback requests.

  • to provide, operate and support the That Review platform
  • to send review and feedback requests on your behalf
  • to manage your account, billing, and payments
  • to integrate with authorised third-party services (e.g. Google, Xero, SMS providers)

  • to improve and personalise our services
  • to comply with legal and regulatory obligations
  • for marketing, analytics and research to understand how our service is used.

When we collect information about you through another organisation that uses That Review, we process it solely to deliver the agreed service to that organisation.

4. Storage and Security

We use reputable hosting and storage partners with strong security controls.
We take reasonable steps to prevent unauthorised access, misuse, loss, or disclosure of personal information.

Where data is stored or processed by third parties outside New Zealand (for example, cloud or API providers), we ensure those providers apply equivalent privacy and security safeguards.

6. Third-Party Integrations

Google APIs

If you connect Google services (such as Google Reviews or Gmail), That Review will access only the data necessary to perform the requested actions.
Your Google data is not used for advertising or shared with external parties.
Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Xero

When you authorise Xero integration, we access contact details and relevant business data required to sync customers or invoices for review requests.
We do not modify or access other unrelated Xero data.
All use complies with Xero’s API Terms of Use.

SMS and Email Providers

Messages sent from your account may be transmitted through our trusted third-party communication partners.
We only provide them the minimum information necessary to deliver messages (recipient contact and message content).

7. Payments

Payments are securely processed through Stripe (or another approved payment provider).
Payment data such as credit-card numbers is never stored on That Review servers.

8. Cookies and Analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • operate the website
  • analyse traffic and usage
  • remember user preferences
  • assist with login sessions and security.
